Meet the Apartment Craft Editorial Team
We’re a small crew of editors, writers, and design nerds obsessed with making compact homes work harder—and feel calmer. Expect renter-safe upgrades, storage systems that actually stick, and Scandinavian-leaning layouts you can copy this weekend.

Signe Holm
Editor-in-Chief
Sets the editorial bar for Apartment Craft—clear layouts, renter-safe fixes, and proof over hype. Signe turns reader pain points into practical guides you can save, shop, and build from in a single afternoon.

Mateo Larsen
Managing Editor
Owns the calendar and the clarity. Mateo shapes early ideas into tight, actionable posts—clean steps, realistic budgets, and affiliate picks we’d recommend to a friend furnishing a first studio.

Nadia Chen
Senior Writer, Studio Layouts
Covers studio planning, micro-layout blueprints, and “where does this go?” furniture math. Nadia tests layouts in real rooms—walk paths, door swings, and storage zones—before we publish a single diagram.

Elias Berg
Senior Writer, Storage & Hacks
Lives for the unsexy details: shelf spacing, label systems, and the one hook that solves three problems. Elias hunts for high-impact storage that renters can install, remove, and reuse in the next place.

Amara Singh
Design Editor
Makes every guide easier to scan, save, and act on—type, color, images, and callouts included. Amara keeps the look Scandinavian-clean while ensuring every layout and checklist reads flawlessly on mobile.

Jordan Kim
Contributing Editor, Renter DIY
Specializes in upgrades you can do without losing your deposit—peel-and-stick, hardware swaps, lighting, and tiny carpentry. Jordan pressure-tests every project for tools, time, and “can I undo this later?” sanity.
About Verso
We write for the people who build things — and we believe the best technology gets out of your way.
Verso started in 2019 as a Friday email between a handful of engineers, designers, and editors who were tired of coverage that mistook press releases for reporting. It grew because that hunger turned out to be widespread.
We exist to make sense of how technology, design, and culture keep rewriting one another — not by chasing every launch, but by sitting with the few that actually matter. We’d rather publish one essay we’d defend in a year than ten posts we’ll be embarrassed by next week.
Verso is independent and entirely reader-funded. No venture money, no advertorials, no growth hacks dressed up as journalism. Our only obligation is to the people who read us, and we intend to keep it that way.
Studio Layouts & Blueprints
We map real studio and one-bedroom footprints into livable plans: zoning, circulation, and furniture sizing that actually fits. Expect layout blueprints, swap-ready floor plans, and fast rules for making a small room feel calm and intentional.
Storage & Smart Hacks
From entryways to under-bed dead space, we test renter-safe storage that looks built-in—without the build. You’ll get budget finds, IKEA-friendly upgrades, and step-by-step hacks that reduce clutter and keep everyday items within easy reach.
Renter DIY & Gentle Upgrades
We focus on improvements you can do in an afternoon—no permits, no drama, minimal tools. Think peel-and-stick ideas, lighting swaps, removable hardware, and damage-free installs that raise function and style (and come down clean at move-out).
